The bay of Sosua with its beautiful beach connects the two districts of Sosua and Charamicos. In Charamicos you will find typical dominican restaurants, colmados and bars.
You reach the beach eather by a motoconcho or you take your time and stroll along the Pedro Clisante, with all its shops and bars, then you follow all the “Casettas” with souvenirs. Even on the beach you will find lots of “Casettas” which offer souvenirs and clothes, besides that you will find also many bars and restaurants.
Puerto Plata - The Harbor City on the Northcoast
If you make an excursion to Puerto Plata, you will find historical reminders, the Museum of Amber and „Brugal“ the run factory. Or you can take a cable car to the top of Pico Isabel. There you can take a walk through a natural tropical garden. The guides will explain to you all the flowers and trees.
Twice a week you can visit the market, where you can buy vegetable, fruits, spices and meat. Next door is the “Haitian Market” which offers clothes and souvenirs.
